Explaining who I am simply is a challenge
Coding & Product
Coding is the lifeblood of my existence. Starting at the age of 11, I crafted fan sites for StarCraft and Harry Potter. Before embarking on my university journey, I developed numerous web services related to various games, such as 'Nexus TK'(The Kingdom of the Winds in Korea), 'TalesWeaver', and 'MapleStory'. During my university days, I earned my keep through part-time website creation. My current enterprise, OP.GG, is also a product of my lifelong dedication to gaming-related services, a fact that fills me with immense pride.
I'm a creator of IT products. My strength lies in ceaselessly navigating the intersection of technology and product, always striving towards launch. I take pleasure in tackling what others perceive as challenging. Throughout my life, I've been recognised for maintaining a user-centric perspective. However, without constant study, one's instincts can dull. Despite this, I remain passionate about new products, using hundreds each month and discovering dozens of new ones.
As a CTO, I managed a team of 40 in the realms of development and data. As a CEO, I oversaw a company of up to 100 individuals, with over 20 managers directly reporting to me. I have personally conducted thousands of interviews, hiring hundreds of talented individuals. I've trained, promoted, and guided over 20 managers through successful projects. Despite a hiring success rate of less than 1.5%, based on CV submissions, I've always managed to attract the necessary talent by focusing on various aspects, including the company culture. Personally, I have a fondness for working in smaller teams (3-4 individuals).
I harbour extensive technical knowledge, particularly in computer programming languages. With over two decades of web programming experience, I am adept in various languages such as PHP, Java, Python, C++, C#, Objective-C, Swift, and Go. As a child, I was fascinated by hacking and reverse engineering, which fostered my enjoyment of understanding program principles, deconstructing them, and uncovering hidden secrets.
Design is more than a pastime for me; I possess a keen eye for detail, able to detect the slightest discrepancies, whether they're misplaced pixels or typos.
